Hey everyone, my name is Alex Fernando, and I am a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am a huge fan of College Football, and I especially love my Huskers, GO BIG RED!!!
Football is my passion, and I follow College Football like most of the analysts on ESPN do! I'm also training for the upcoming walk-on tryouts here at UNL and hope to make the team. If not, I hope to get in contact with the coaching staff and would like to join as an assistant or manager because I know that I could be a fantastic addition to the team.
Anyways, I'm just a football-crazed kid from Jefferson, South Dakota, right near Sioux City, Iowa. I've been around Sioux City my whole life and I love the Midwest. I love sports and am very athletic. I also enjoy playing the saxophone. My favorite thing to do in life (besides football) is to meet new people and make friends.
We were asked to make a blog for my Principles of Mass Media class here at UNL, so I figured I would make one about the thing I know the most about: College Football. I've loved College Football my whole life, (credit my mom for that) always rooting for my Huskers. However, as I grew older, I became fascinated with the entire Collegiate Football World; the conferences, the bowls, all the different teams, and all the different coaches. I thought this blog would be a new and interesting way to share my knowledge and opinions about College Football. My next post will probably be about some of the big signing day news that will occur next Wednesday on February 4th. Feel free to shoot me any questions you have!
